Vistara, a joint venture of Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines Ltd, and India’s fastest growing full service carrier, established its presence in the Gulf region today with the inauguration of its Sales office in Dubai and the appointment of Sharaf Travels LLC as its General Sales Agent (GSA). The opening of its first overseas Sales office in Dubai will ensure that customers from the Gulf region can enjoy the same level of service as those provided in India.

 

Sharaf Travels, one of the biggest IATA accredited travel agents in UAE will represent Vistara in the GCC territories of UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. With its strong presence in these markets, residents and tourists in the GCC region will have direct access to Vistara’s services and information on its growing network in India. This physical presence will also ensure that Vistara’s imperatives of service and operational excellence is marketed appropriately in the region.

 

Making the announcement, Mr. Giam Ming Toh, Chief Commercial Officer, Vistara emphasized thesignificance of the initiative, stating, “We are thrilled to set up our first overseas Sales office in Dubai. The appointment of Sharaf Travels as our GSA and the opening of the new office underlines the importance of the Gulf region for us. Vistara offers 321 weekly flights to 12 destinations in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Goa, Guwahati, Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar (w.e.f 1st Oct’15), Varanasi (w.e.f 21st Oct’15) and increased frequencies between Delhi and Mumbai (w.e.f. Nov’15). A full service airline, Vistara promises a personalised and seamless travel experience. With a unique cabin configuration of 148 seats (16 Business Class, 36 Premium Economy and 96 Economy Class), Vistara offers up to 20% more leg space and comfort to its customers compared to the same aircraft model of other airlines. Building a strong growth path on the pillars of service and operational excellence, Vistara recently achieved the benchmark of flying 600,000 happy customers across its network. The airline has also consistently maintained OTP (On-Time Performance) in excess of 90% since its launch.

 

·         Vistara has introduced many unique product and service offerings which include-

o    First airline to introduce Premium Economy in India’s domestic skies at a competitive price

o    First to offer a seamless boarding experience through designated queues and various check in options including auto check-in

o    First to introduce IntelliCabin™ in-flight entertainment (IFE) system in partnership with BAE systems which integrates inflight wireless streaming of preloaded content to customers’ personal electronic devices (PEDs) across all three cabin classes in its fleet of A320 aircraft (w.e.f Dec 2015). The system also includes fully integrated Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablets for Business Class customers (w.e.f. May 2015)

o    First to introduce a value based points accrual in Frequent Flyer Program, Club Vistara A user friendly mobile app packed with an array of features for customers to enable self-servicing

o    The hassle-free check-in and boarding process with thoughtfully designed on-board experience, comfortable and spacious seating

o    Offers an interesting and innovative in-flight dining experience with a wide range of cuisines, which not only showcase the diversity of regional dishes, but also incorporates global culinary trends. Keeping customers’ preference in mind we are introducing an interesting twist to our menu. Towards continues efforts to improve its service offering Vistara introduced a new menu on-board from July 01, 2015

o    Vistara is the only domestic airlines that operates from Terminal 2 of Mumbai International airport, providing a truly international experience to its customers.
