CLASS 1  MEDICAL PROCEDURE

Aviators, if you want to get the license to fly, you should be medically fit as per DGCA standards. There are basically two types of medical for pilots i.e. Class 2 and Class 1. First of all you have to get your Class 2 medical after that Class 1 medical.

1. Initially you have to get the appointment date for class 2 medical.
The list of class 2 examiners are as follows :

Prior to talk to them get your following tests done .If the reports are normal proceed ahead.

  1. ECG
  2. EEG
  3. CHEST X-RAY
  4. ENT
  5. URINE TEST
  6. BLOOD HB TEST
  7. TLC
  8. DLC
  9. AUDIOMETRY
  10. COCKPIT TEST
  11. COMPLETE EYE CHECK UP
  12. ULTRASOUND
  13. HEIGHT WIGHT PROPORTION
  14. TMT ( OVER WEIGHT PEOPLE)

Contact the class 2 medical examiner for appointment date and take the reports of above tests along with you.

After that you have to wait for your medical assessment from the DGCA. As soon as you get your class 2 medical assessment ,apply for class 1 appointment at any of the following centers.

    If you are applying for initial at Air Force Center than you need to get the date personally….otherwise you can apply online at Private Centre.

    i have a serious problem here i have expired my class one havnt renewed it. i know there is something called a special case and i can get it renewed a bit late too if i have DGCA sanction letter . but its too late for that too cus i had sent a letter but they didnt reply TWICE. what is the next step ?

    Well you can get a NOC from safdurjung for ur medicals….Recently my friend also had the same situation….and he got the NOC through some agent. I think you can also probably go for that option.

    Well for taking a renewal date, you need to download a form for medical date from Dgca’s website.After that you have to go to that place for taking the date.

    But they say that u have to take ur medical reports along with you for it… What all reports do i need to get done before going…???

    They are expecting some reports which they cannot conduct at their station like ECG ,EEG, just confirm which are the test that they connot conduct.

    First u need to take the NOC from DGCA, than get the medical date and get it done.

    Hi Achint,

    I got my appointment for class-1 renewal… are there any reports i need to carry with me… I have heard that they do not have a lab facility. i tried the number for palam but they never answer.

    Any help appreciated… is there a validity period for the NOC issued in the same regards?

    Well, for the renewal you don’t need to carry anything with you. They will just do normal check up..i.e. eye check up, blood & urine test, BP etc…NOC is valid for 3 months.

    You can easily get your medical date in Class 2 medical centres.List is as follows :

    Well you can apply by three options: Write a application with the form and send it to the desired address, or call them on phone and ask for the date or visit personally which is indeed the most effective way in getting the dates.
