Direct Flight from Goa to Dubai Now Available with Air India Express Launch

Air India Express, the first budget airline for international travel in India, announced the start of its operations from Goa International Airport on Monday. The airline will offer four direct flights per week on the Goa-Dubai route. The first flight, IX 840, departed from Dabolim Airport at 1:00 am with 148 passengers onboard.

Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express and AirAsia India, expressed his excitement about the launch, stating that Goa is one of India’s most popular tourist destinations. He also noted that the airline is proud to be the only carrier offering direct flights between Goa and Dubai. AirAsia India, which is in the process of merging with Air India Express, already operates 13 daily direct flights to and from Goa, connecting five domestic cities.

Also, he added that they are committed to providing the best services to their customers and aspire to contribute to the tourism success story of the state.

During a celebration held at a city hotel, the Goa travel trade commemorated the arrival of Air India Express to Goa. Senior leadership teams from Air India Express and AirAsia India attended the event.
