The airport’s share of non-metro traffic increased to 56 percent during the year, up from 50 percent pre-pandemic, indicating an improvement in domestic connectivity.

The airport served over 11.2 million international travelers, representing a staggering growth of 291 percent over FY22. Domestic footfalls also surged, with over 32.7 million passengers, up 87 percent over FY22.

Flight movements rose by 56 percent overall, with more than 63,000 international movements–an increase of 181 percent compared to FY22. Domestic flight movements rose 51 percent to 2,19,200 movements.

Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and London were the top international destinations with the highest passenger traffic from the airport. Meanwhile, New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Goa remained the top three preferred domestic destinations.

Additionally, the airport experienced two notable milestones since the pandemic. On February 11, 2023, it recorded its highest single-day flight movement of 974 air traffic movements.
