Airlines staff reported that the man, who was under the influence of alcohol, had urinated on his co-passenger during an argument. The incident occurred during the flight and was later reported to the authorities.

The CISF apprehended the man upon the plane’s arrival at the IGI Airport on Sunday evening.

According to PTI, the airport was informed by the airlines about the incident before landing, and later both passengers involved were handed over to the Delhi Police.

Sources quoted by PTI reported that the victim of the incident has filed a formal complaint.

This incident is the latest in a series of cases where passengers have allegedly urinated after consuming alcohol.

In November 2022, a man who was reportedly drunk allegedly urinated on a female co-passenger. She was in her seventies in the business class of an Air India New York-Delhi flight.

Similarly, in December 2022, another passenger allegedly relieved himself on a vacant seat and blanket of a fellow female passenger on board an Air India Paris-New Delhi flight.

Such incidents not only pose a threat to the safety and security of other passengers but also reflect poorly on the image of the aviation industry. It is essential for passengers to behave responsibly and follow proper decorum while traveling on flights. The authorities have urged airlines to take strict action against passengers who violate in-flight rules and regulations.

The incident has raised concerns about the need for stricter measures to tackle unruly behavior by passengers. It is crucial for airlines to ensure the safety and well-being of their passengers. Also to take necessary steps to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
