Direct Flight from Goa to Dehradun Starting May 23
Starting May 23, IndiGo, a low-cost airline, will begin operating direct flights between Goa and Dehradun, connecting these popular tourist destinations. The direct flight route will link Manohar International Airport (Mopa) in Goa with Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
Rohan Khaunte, the Minister of Tourism for Goa, has scheduled to board the inaugural flight on May 23 to commemorate this collaboration between the two states. This new direct flight service aims to provide a convenient and hassle-free travel option for tourists looking to explore the cultural and natural attractions of both Goa and Uttarakhand.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Minister Khaunte emphasized the significance of direct flights in promoting spiritual tourism in Goa, aligning with the vision of Dakshin Kashi. Additionally, the direct flight route will benefit tourists from Goa who are interested in experiencing Uttarakhand’s splendid natural beauty. Recent tourism statistics further demonstrate the potential impact of this new flight service. In 2021, Goa received 33 lakh domestic visitors, while Uttarakhand welcomed 1.9 crore domestic tourists, according to India Tourism Statistics 2022.
