Go First cancels flights till June 28
Cash-strapped airline Go First has announced the extension of its flight cancellations until June 28, leaving passengers in limbo. The decision comes as the airline continues to grapple with operational challenges and financial constraints. Initially, the cancellations were only scheduled until June 25, but due to ongoing issues, the company has been forced to further suspend its flight operations.
In a tweet addressing the situation, Go First stated, “Due to operational reasons, Go First flights until June 28, 2023, are canceled. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.” The airline recognizes the significant disruption these cancellations have caused and has committed to providing full refunds to affected passengers.

In a letter to passengers, Go First expressed their understanding of the impact these flight cancellations have had on travel plans and assured customers that they would offer any necessary assistance. It is an unfortunate turn of events for the airline, which is working diligently to overcome the challenges it faces.
Go First’s troubles began in early May when the company filed for voluntary insolvency, effectively halting its operations. This drastic step was taken as a result of mounting financial difficulties that hindered the airline’s ability to operate smoothly.
Acknowledging the airline’s precarious situation, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the civil aviation regulator. Advised Go First to submit a comprehensive restructuring or revival plan within 30 days. This plan will be thoroughly reviewed by the DGCA, who will then determine the appropriate course of action to be taken.
For passengers who have been affected by these flight cancellations, the prospect of receiving a full refund provides some relief. Go First remains committed to ensuring that passengers are not left high and dry during this challenging period.
As the situation unfolds, affected passengers are encouraged to stay updated on any further announcements or developments from Go First. The airline is working diligently to resolve its operational issues and aims to resume its flight services as soon as possible. In the meantime, the provision of full refunds demonstrates the airline’s dedication to customer satisfaction amidst challenging circumstances.
Travelers who have been affected by these flight cancellations are advised to reach out to Go First’s customer support for further assistance and information regarding their refunds.
