Bengaluru Airport Launches Passenger-Centric App to Enhance Travel Experience
Passengers flying through Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (BLR Airport) will now have a new and improved way of experiencing the airport with the launch of ‘BLR Pulse’ – a personalized digital travel buddy designed to cater to their needs.
In collaboration with GrayMatter Software Services, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), the operator of BLR Airport, has developed ‘BLR Pulse,’ an omnichannel platform aimed at enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers.
The recently introduced app addresses common pre-travel concerns such as long security queues and wait times, empowering passengers to navigate within the terminal buildings and take control of their journey at departures and arrivals by providing essential real-time information about the airport. This innovative solution allows travelers to alleviate their pre-travel apprehensions and stay informed throughout their airport experience.
One of the key features of ‘BLR Pulse’ is its interactive chatbot functionality, enabling passengers to find answers to various questions independently. Over time, this feature will be continuously curated and expanded to ensure an efficient and seamless user experience.
The app offers real-time updates on essential passenger touchpoints, including entry gates, check-in counters, and security check areas. It also provides flight status updates directly to passengers’ mobile devices or email inboxes, ensuring they stay informed and up to date on their travel arrangements.

Furthermore, the ‘WayFinder’ feature within the app simplifies navigation throughout the airport, allowing passengers to easily find their way to their desired destinations. In addition, passengers can take advantage of the app’s convenient services, such as booking a transit hotel for short-term stays or completing last-minute flight check-ins.

These include the ability to track flight timings and receive flight status notifications, obtain real-time information on airport queues at various touchpoints, reserve tables at restaurants, order food for pickup or delivery to the gate, and identify and claim lost items, among other functionalities.
