Air India Delhi-Port Blair Flight Diverted Due to Bad Weather; Passengers Overnight in Visakhapatnam
Severe weather conditions forced the diversion of an Air India flight carrying over 150 passengers from Delhi-Port Blair, resulting in an unexpected overnight stay in Visakhapatnam. The passengers experienced frustration as they were unable to reach their intended destination due to the adverse weather. Air India expressed its sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused to the affected passengers. The flight, carrying a total of 152 individuals, encountered unfavorable weather conditions during its journey.
Air India, in an official statement released on Monday, stated, “Air India flight AI 485, scheduled to fly from Delhi to Port Blair on June 25. The flight was diverted to Vizag due to the inclement weather at Port Blair. We understand the frustration experienced by our passengers. We ensured that they were provided with necessary amenities such as food and accommodation during their unplanned stay.”
The airline ensured that it took good care of all passengers and provided them with the necessary assistance during their unexpected layover. After an extended delay, the flight finally departed for its original destination at 2:15 pm on Monday.
