Air India Express Plane Makes Emergency Landing After Flight’s Engine Catches Fire During Climb

An Air India Express flight to Calicut returned to Abu Dhabi airport after flames were seen coming from one of the engines shortly after takeoff, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation reported on Friday. All 184 passengers onboard the Boeing 737-800 aircraft were safe, with Air India Express confirming that the plane had landed safely.
