Air India has not yet commented on the incident.
Earlier this month, a passenger on an Air India flight from Nagpur to Mumbai was stung by a scorpion, a rare occurrence compared to incidents involving live birds or rats on board.
An Air India spokesperson informed ANI that the scorpion incident took place on April 23, 2023, describing it as an extremely rare and unfortunate event. Upon landing, the airline provided immediate medical treatment to the female passenger and transported her to the hospital. Furthermore, after conducting a thorough inspection, Air India found the scorpion and proceeded to fumigate the aircraft. Air India expressed sincere regret for the inconvenience caused to the passenger.
