Flight services resume at Agra civil terminal; 19 passengers arrive from Goa on Air India flight
Lucknow: Flight services at Agra civil terminal were resumed on Saturday and are expected to continue till the end of summer season.
In the inaugural flight 19 passengers arrived from Goa in AI 883 Air India 180 seater Airbus 320 at around 11.20am and at 12.20pm it departed for Delhi. According to Agra airport authority, Air India will operate only once in a week.
It’s important to note that Air India has no future plans of a direct flight for return journey to Agra from Delhi or direct flight to Goa from Agra.
Speaking to TOI, Agra airport director A A Ansari said, “Air India service was expected to start from January 12 but it got delayed due to internal technical clearance. Flight services of other airlines such as IndiGo, Zoom and Spicejet are expected to start in coming months and will continue till October.”
“From March 28, IndiGo will operate daily flights for four destinations including for Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Lucknow and Bengaluru, while Zoom is expected to operate four days in week for destinations like Delhi, Lucknow, Bhopal and Indore. Zoom airlines operation date is yet be cleared,” said Ansari.
