Indian Aviation is Happy with cut in fuel prices

Indian Aviation is extremely happy with the deep cut in fuel prices across the country.

Fuel is the major expense head in any schedule or non schedule airline. It generally accounts for 50-55% in the total expense. Due this price cut in Aviation Turbine Fuel ( ATF) , all the stocks have rallied up by more than 6% . Shares of Spicejet has surged 6% to Rs 13.01, while Kingfisher Airlines locked in upper circuit of 5% at Rs 2.15 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).  Similarly, Jet Airways up nearly 5% to Rs 218.

This is the 3rd time reduction in the prices of ATF. International prices of crude oil has declined, due which the import of oil has become cheaper. After the new Government,  The Aviation Minister has assured that all the states will reduces the taxes on fuel. ATF in the country is highly taxed . Due these taxes and certain policies of aviation, almost all the companies are in deep losses. Aviation should be improved as its a necessary factor in the improvement of the country.
