IndiGo Delhi-Bengaluru flight makes emergency landing at Indore after infant develops medical complication
New Delhi: IndiGo Delhi-Bengaluru flight made an emergency landing at Indore on Wednesday after infant developed a medical complication. According to reports, the flight made an emergency landing at Indore airport on Wednesday evening at about 5.55 pm.
According to the officials of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), the infant was rushed to a local hospital, but he could not be saved and was declared ‘brought dead’.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, the IndiGo flight 6E-2248 from Delhi to Bengaluru was diverted to Indore after the baby, identified as Dev Jaiswal, son of Durgesh Jaiswal and Anu Jaiswal, developed medical emergency. The kid was rushed to Banthia hospital near the airport but was further referred to Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Science (SAIMS)’s hospital. The kid reportedly passed away on the way to the SAIMS hospital.
According to reports, the family of the patient is from Gorakhpur. The child was suffering from hydrocephalus, which results in the accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain. The child was being taken to Bengaluru for emergency treatment when he began gasping on the flight. The flight left for Bengaluru after the child was taken to the hospital.
