Jyotiraditya Scindia Urges India to Invest in Aerospace Manufacturing

On Monday, Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Civil Aviation Minister, emphasized the vast potential for growth in India’s aviation sector and advocated for the country to explore manufacturing aerospace products. Scindia also predicted that domestic airlines will acquire approximately 2,000 aircraft in the next five to seven years.

During a summit organized by aviation consultancy CAPA, the minister expressed his views on aerospace product manufacturing in India. According to him, the current situation is conducive to the growth of manufacturing in India. “Time is ripe for manufacturing to take off in India,” he stated. Additionally, he emphasized the need to expand the Indian civil aviation ecosystem.

“Join the growth story of civil aviation,” he urged. He projected that up to 15 new Flying Training Organizations (FTOs) would be established by year-end, bringing the total number to 50, compared to the current 35.

Mr. Scindia further added that the government is committed to providing all necessary support to Indian manufacturers in this regard, including incentives, subsidies, and other benefits. He encouraged Indian manufacturers to take advantage of these schemes and start investing in the aerospace sector.

In conclusion, the Minister emphasized the importance of the aerospace sector for India’s economic growth and development. He stated that India has the potential to become a global leader in aerospace manufacturing, and it is time for the country to take advantage of this opportunity. He urged Indian manufacturers to come forward and invest in the sector to make India a self-reliant and self-sufficient nation in the field of aerospace.
