Passengers of Delhi-Leh IndiGo flight face tough time
On Friday, IndiGo flight 6E 291, which was scheduled to take off from Delhi to Leh at 8.20 am, was delayed and eventually cancelled. The plane, which had around 180 passengers, eventually took off at 1.30 pm, but couldn’t land at its destination. Instead, it flew over Leh and then returned to Delhi. According to passenger Amresh Kumar, the pilot originally told them the flight would land in Chandigarh, but it ultimately came back to Delhi. The passengers were understandably frustrated with the ordeal.
IndiGo’s flight 6E 291 from Delhi to Leh was delayed due to inclement weather. This resulted in much inconvenience to the passengers, who staged a protest at Delhi Airport’s Terminal 1. In response, an IndiGo spokesperson issued a statement, expressing regret for the disruption of their service. They, however, failed to mention that the flight had been cancelled and that the next available flight to Leh would only be on February 18. We regret the inconvenience caused to the passengers.
The situation was further complicated when the flight eventually took off. It flew over Leh and then returned to Delhi. This caused further confusion and frustration among the passengers. They were expecting to be able to disembark in Leh but were instead made to return to Delhi.
The situation was especially difficult for the passengers who had been travelling with their families. They had to bear the expense of alternative arrangement for their families to reach Leh, on top of the inconvenience of the long wait and uncertainty.
