STARS launches $4.2M lottery in Saskatchewan
The STARS Lottery
The STARS Lottery Saskatchewan propelled today over the territory, offering ticket buyers the chance to win groundbreaking prizes while likewise causing in the battle to spare lives.
The lottery is STARS’ largest fundraiser in Saskatchewan. The ninth edition offers more than 1,800 prizes, valued at over $4.2 million, including luxury vehicles, dream vacations, cash, electronics, appliances and two stunning, fully-furnished show homes worth more than $1.5 million each – both of which are awarded in the final draw.
The non-profit, charitable helicopter air ambulance organization continues to care for critically ill and injured patients in communities across Saskatchewan throughout the coronavirus pandemic, including presumptive and confirmed COVID-19 patients.
“STARS relies on community support to stay operational, and while many of our fundraising events have been postponed or cancelled, we are grateful to be able to continue with our annual lottery,” said STARS president and CEO, Andrea Robertson. “The lottery gives our allies the chance to win terrific prizes and helps to ensure we can continue to fight for the lives of critically ill and injured people across Saskatchewan.”
This year’s lottery features STARS’ largest early bird prize package ever, with a truck, trailer, toys and $100,000 – all valued at $346,589. The perennially popular LUCKY STARS 50/50 is back again, and this year a lucky ticket buyer could win up to $900,000, Saskatchewan’s largest 50/50 payout ever.
Ticket prices start at $60 for the main lottery and $10 for the 50/50 and can be purchased at STARSLotterySaskatchewan.ca or by calling 1-844-STARS SK (782-7775).
Every ticket purchased is eligible to win all applicable prizes if purchased prior to the early bird ticket sales deadline of June 25 and the final ticket sales deadline of July 16. LUCKY STARS 50/50 tickets must be purchased in conjunction with main lottery tickets.
STARS usually launches its lottery from the grand prize show homes located in Pilot Butte, near Regina, and Greenbryre Estates, near Saskatoon. However, due to current social distancing and gathering restrictions, the show homes are not open to the public at this time, nor are in-person ticket sales available at the STARS bases.
