The expansion comes less than a year after the airline’s establishment and demonstrates its commitment to long-term growth and investment. Founder and CEO Vinay Dube expressed confidence in the airline’s future and highlighted that the airline’s actions are focused on sustainable development.

The recent turbulence in the country’s civil aviation sector, with budget carrier Go First suspending flights and undergoing insolvency proceedings, has put the spotlight on the challenges faced by airlines. However, Akasa airline remains determined to forge ahead with its expansion plans.

The newly inaugurated facility adds an additional 20,000 square feet of world-class training capabilities, equipped with advanced technology to meet the demands of the modern aviation industry. The airline also expects the investment it made to yield significant returns in the coming years.

Since its inaugural flight on August 7, 2022, AkasaAir has quickly expanded its operations. The airline currently operates with a fleet of 19 planes. Also, Airline has placed a firm order for 72 Boeing 737 MAX airplanes, which will be powered by CFM’s fuel-efficient LEAP-1B engines.

Therefore, with its expansion of the training and development center, Akasa Air aims to ensure that it has a well-trained and skilled workforce to support its growth and maintain high standards of safety and service. The airline’s focus on investing in the future underscores its determination to establish itself as a prominent player in the aviation industry.
